Why I’m here
I’ve earned my living on a flight line, a sales floor, in clinics, and across the desk from insurance clients. Different industries, same discovery every time: there’s plenty of help built for big companies and very little for the small and medium ones. The owners I met were never short on effort or ability. They were short on somebody in their corner. That’s the work I’m here to do. Guidance, assistance, and an advocate for the companies that want to succeed.
The background
Yuri graduated from Cathedral High School in Boston in 1981 and joined the United States Air Force that same year. He served a decade, most of it in aircraft mechanics with his last four years in training management, and separated in 1991 with an honorable discharge. The retail years that followed sharpened a different set of tools: sales, service, and clear communication with whoever walked through the door.
In 2011, a federal education grant helping veterans build second careers opened a door into medicine. He earned an associate degree in Medical Assisting, Psychology, and Human Services, along with certifications as a Certified Nursing Assistant and in Phlebotomy, then kept going: a Bachelor of Liberal Arts from the University of New Mexico in 2017 and a Master of Arts in 2021. Along the way he owned his own business and, most recently, worked in the insurance industry.
Retail, medicine, and insurance each showed him the same gap from a different seat: small and medium businesses carrying real weight with almost nobody built to help them. He advises with Porch & Main through YDF Global LLC, from New Mexico, so those companies finally have an advocate of their own.
